Strategic Intake and Assessment
Strategic clarity comes from structured thinking, disciplined analysis, and the willingness to confront the real decision in front of you.
These situations often involve competing priorities, incomplete information, and pressure to act quickly. The purpose of the Strategic Intake Review is to analyze the situation clearly enough to determine the next move.

The First Step
All advisory engagements with Blackline Strategies begin with a Strategic Intake Review.
This sixty minute session is designed to analyze the strategic challenge you are facing and determine whether a structured advisory engagement is appropriate.
The Strategic Intake & Assessment is not a casual consultation. It is a working session focused on clarifying the situation, identifying the real decision point, and determining the most effective path forward.
-
• Strategic assessment
• Clarification of presenting issue
• Scope and fit evaluation
• Initial strategy recommendations
• Risk and appropriateness screening
• Engagement recommendations if applicable -
Following the Strategic Intake and Assessment, clients receive a brief Strategic Summary outlining key themes, identified priorities, and recommended areas of focus based on the session.
Clients will also receive information regarding available engagement options, including service structure, scheduling, and investment details, if they wish to continue working with Blackline Strategies LLC.
The intake session is designed to provide standalone value regardless of whether an ongoing engagement is established.
If both parties choose to proceed:
• Remaining onboarding documents are finalized
• Payment arrangements are confirmed
• Sessions are scheduled
• Engagement goals and priorities are established collaborativelyIf ongoing advisory support is not pursued, clients may still use the insights and recommendations developed during the intake session independently.
-
Strategic advisory work requires preparation, honesty, and a willingness to engage directly with the issue at hand.
Clients seeking services should be prepared to:
• engage in structured analysis
• consider direct strategic feedback
• implement recommendations following the sessionThe work is designed for individuals who are ready to move forward with clarity and intention.
The Strategic Intake Process
What Clients Typically Gain
While each engagement is different, clients often leave the Strategic Intake Review with:
• a clearer understanding of the real problem they are facing
• a structured analysis of the forces shaping the situation
• identification of the strategic decision that must be made
• a framework for evaluating potential paths forward
• a clearer sense of what action will move the situation forward
For some clients, this clarity alone is sufficient to move forward independently. For others, the intake session becomes the first step in a structured advisory engagement designed to support implementation.
All advisory engagements begin with the Strategic Intake & Assessment.
